ImageChef Launches Mobile Video Greeting Service

Personalization Firm Expands Product Line from Images to Video

San Francisco, CA -- November 27, 2006 -- ImageChef, Inc., an interactive media company that enables creative expression, today announced an innovative new service that allows mobile phone users to create and personalize video clips for use as video greetings and ringtones. Recently launched with MoConDi, one of Europe's premiere mobile content providers, the service marks a significant leap forward for ImageChef, expanding the company's offerings from fun images and mobile wallpapers to personalized video messages that add sizzle and pop to traditional email, text, and IM.

"Our mobile wallpaper product has been a great success with millions sold," said Rolf Rando, CEO of ImageChef. "With the growth of 3G networks, we've extended our system to support video, with some great clips that can be customized for users to watch on their phones or sent along to their friends."

"The phone is about personalization first and foremost," says JT Klepp, CEO of MoConDi. "The personalized video clip is the most innovative solution we have seen in the industry. We have launched it with our client H3G in Italy, and we also expect to roll this out over our network of 40+ mobile operators in the coming months."

ImageChef's new video messaging service utilizes real-time video encoding and a proprietary server-side 3D engine to customize users' video. The customer simply needs to pick one of ImageChef's many video templates on a WAP site, enter their text message into a field, submit the form, and watch as a customized version of the video appears in seconds. One of the most popular videos being customized with ImageChef's service is Baking Cake. The photo-realistic video clip features ingredients making their transformation from batter in a bowl to an iced cake complete with the user's greeting spelled out in frosting. Other favorites include The Tattoo Shop, which offers a clip of the user generated greeting being inked across a persons' back, and The Beach, where one's message written in the sand is swept away by an approaching wave. ImageChef is a frontrunner in the emerging personalization market, creating a new genre of imaging products for the consumer mass market and allowing web and mobile customers to create dynamic content across multiple, messaging platforms. According to a recent report by Informa Telecoms & Media and the Mobile Entertainment Forum, user-generated content and communities on mobile platforms will be worth $13.1bn (6.95bn Pounds) within five years. Furthermore, recent statistics from two mobile industry trackers have shown double-digit surges in MMS usage over the last few quarters of 2006---indicating higher commercial potential than previously anticipated.

ImageChef's wallpaper product line, which allows users to customize their own mobile phone wallpapers and screensavers, is currently offered through mobile phone operators in eight countries. In addition, ImageChef provides free customized clip art and greetings available on its website at www.imagechef.com.
